This was a request from a special someone to a special someone just for Valentine's Day. It reflects the unique sentiments of someone who has not been in a relationship for decades of a long time and wanted to express those fantastic romantic feelings to their partner. At 21 years old, Nathen was working for a logging company as a *spider monkey. As he readied himself to go to another tree, he fell 125ft onto the limbs he had just bucked and then slid headfirst into the base of the tree. Today, he wants to fly helicopters and keep on enjoying life. (Spider monkey: climbing to the tops of trees while bucking the limbs off, then using a rope to swing to another tree). To BeauAt 17 years old, Beau was cooking with oil in a frying pan and it got too hot and started a fire. He made the mistake of trying to take the fire outside and ended up spilling it on his hands and bare feet. Today, he's taking carpentry and joinery at college, keeps lovebirds, and still smiles all the time.

Our Own Moon (Feb 05) Love
gave us a moon And
lit the sky with sunrise colour It
rapt us in a gala wind And
swept us into glory Enchantment
keeps the world away Enamour
fills our passions As
we joyfully unravel All
our senses for romancing We
lark upon our moon Amidst
a carousel of kisses With
nothing more to guide us Than
the depth of iris wonder I’m
staid in time abandon With
my thoughts escaping freely As
you cause my heart to echo With
the wishes of your whispers A
long-forgotten beauty Seeks
your tenor and caresses In
the days you can’t be near me I
luxuriate in memories It
could be that I’ve known you Every
day of every lifetime That
you cause my soul to blossom In
a cosmic bougainvillea Love
gave us a moon It
knew our hearts and where to take them There’s
nothing more I cherish Than the love that we romance in. |

flowers bloom in the sweet spring air Bouquets
of life are everywhere… And
though we might be miles away Our love is there with you today.
Happy Mother's Day, Grandma (May 02) In all the world What means so much
Is in my heart The place you touch... You share your life In special ways My fondest memories Are those days... And now it’s time to celebrate With pretty flowers and little cakes So give yourself a hug for me
I’ll see you soon, most definitely.
To Grandma From the top of Mt Washington (Jul 02)
Where ever we go or how high You’re always right there with us.
To Grandma at Christmas (Dec 03) There's nothing so bright As your smile at Christmas. It brings its own gift Of love and good wishes Surrounding us with sweet hugs and kisses. |
Tyler, Grandma, Me (Jul 02) Happy Easter, Grandma (Apr 03)
As spring sneaks past
The dewy damp ground We talk and tea With friends around. So much in life Is here to be found And shared As we talk and tea
Happy Mother's Day, Grandma (May 03)
This Mother's Day brings A sunlit smile Along with thoughts of you. We're
happy to share This sentiment You see us that way, too.
Happy Birthday, Grandma (Jun 03)
In all the days since we were born The sun and moon and stars Have lavished light across the sky And on this world of ours. Yet in this world another light Shines brighter than the sky From deep in hearts, it reaches far The love we live life by. And then in very special ways We share this love with you In rose-kissed smiles upon your face And "Happy Birthdays", too. |

A Tribute to My Grandma (Jan 04) You gave me a special gift That no one else could give You gave it quite so naturally It's in the way you live. You never judge or contradict The choices in my life You love me through degrees I go In
joyfulness and strife. That truly is where love resides Is what I've learned…and now The way that you accepted me It honors me somehow. Another thing I noticed In something that we share The nature of a lady Lends a spirit to the air. The more I see the truth in life And love that never ends The more I want the world to know You're one of my best friends. I want to tell you also In simple words and true I'm glad you are my grandma And I know you love me, too. |

Just for you, Grandma
I went to find a flower With a comforting air Strong, yet exquisite The jasmine was there. ________________________________
